Originally from Belgium, Rene can speak four languages (French, Dutch, English and German) and is a passionate travel expert who knows the region like the back of his hand. A bit of a workaholic, when he’s not in he office managing client’s relations or business development, Rene is leading a tour or exploring new destinations in search of exclusive spots to share with you.

Combining years of experience with the local tourism industry and the skills to understand and satisfy foreign travelers’ expectations, Ngan is Golden Tortoise’s managing director. But don’t let her smile and friendly attitude foul you, as she will battle hard to get the best deals and services for our customers and make sure all the paperwork, authorizations and contracts are in order for the travelers to enjoy their journey.

In her element when dealing with numbers, invoices and request payments, Quyen is Ngan’s right hand, in charge of all accounting and tax issues. When dealing with international clients or local operators, she navigates with ease and elegance through the legal and administrative jungle of laws and regulations, paying attention to details so that all aspects are properly overseen.

Hanoi born and bred, Phuong graduated from Hanoi University of Business and Technology. Always in a good mood, Phuong is in charge of our key accounts, ensuring everything is in place according to schedule for our regular clients. Charming and funny, she enlightens the office with a positive attitude, making everyday’s work so much easier.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Giang
Executive secretary
Giang is the latest addition to the team. She’s also our secret weapon coming from the cold. She studied company finances in Russia and graduated from the Tula State University, city famous for making guns and samovars, so on top of English, she can also speak Russian. Giang loves to travel and make new friends and through kindness and attention, she quickly managed to become a valuable asset to the agency.

With us since the beginning, Tuyen is Golden Tortoise’s lead English-speaking guide. Problem solver, Tuyen has made himself a reputation for being a solid tour leader whom guests feel secure and confident to follow even to the most remote locations. Smart and flexible, he’s constantly paying attention to clients’ expectations and will always find a solution to ensure the comfort and well being of the travelers he’s guiding. Gifted with languages, Tuyen is also fluent in Chinese and often leads tours out of Vietnam, especially to Cambodia.
Doan Minh Thong
Lead French-speaking tour guide
Honest and trustworthy, Thong comes from Nghe An province (as did Uncle Ho) and has been our lead French speaking guide also since the creation of Golden Tortoise, although he’s fluent in English as well. His style is more subtle and delicate as Thong is careful not to take center stage during a trip, exploiting his skills and experience in such way his guests often feel they are discovering a destination rather than they are being guided there.

Tour Leader
After visiting Vietnam in 2002, Bruno decided to move to South-East Asia and start up a new life. After working in the hospitality business in both Hoi An and Hue, he finally found the job that pleases him best, leading tours. Always in for a good laugh, adding personal experiences and anecdotes to lightnen up the mood, available and at the service of the guests till late, he takes his job seriously to please the guests during their trip. After residing for more than 6 years in Vietnam, Bruno moved to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, captivated by it’s fascinated history and people.
